Dope Saint Jude is a Cape Town born music artist, composer and writer. Her first EP, Reimagine, was released in 2016 followed by her second EP, Resilient in 2018. As an articulate advocate for feminism she has lectured on hip hop’s role as a vehicle for social commentary. Music scholar Adam Haupt has credited her with “transforming South African hip hop by queering a genre that has predominantly been male and heteronormative.”  She has performed shows in France, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, Portugal, South Africa, USA and UK including Printemps de Bourges, Dour Festival and the Fête de l’Humanité and Afropunk.
 Her music has appeared in Renault, McDonalds and Apple adverts as well as on shows for Netflix, DreamWorks, HBO, BET and AppleTV.
